Vice Chancellor of Information Technology Services

Mary Doyle is Vice Chancellor for IT at the University of California Santa Cruz. Mary joined UCSC in 2008. She is responsible for IT Planning, Security, Policy, Infrastructure, Enterprise Systems, Customer Relationship Management, Client Services, and Learning Technologies. She was Vice Provost for Academic Resource Management and Vice President for Information Technology at Washington State University. Before joining WSU, Mary served as Assistant Provost at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She held Senior Research Analyst positions at UC Santa Barbara and Arizona State University. Mary earned a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and an MBA from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara.

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Tom Andriola joined the University of California as Vice President – Information Technology Services and Systemwide Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2013. He oversees the information technology (IT) function, helps guide systemwide technology initiatives, and provides leadership for the development of the long-term technology strategy for the University. Working closely with leadership at the campuses and health systems, he plays a key role in exploring opportunities for developing technology innovations to support the UC missions of teaching, research, patient care and public service.

Andriola brings over twenty years’ of executive experience driving change and innovation through the use of technology. As an enterprise technology executive, he has helped organizations define their IT vision and implement a broad range of solutions to achieve competitive advantage. He has extensive management experience having lived abroad and run organizations on four continents.  As a business executive he has been a champion of innovation and built several technology-based businesses in healthcare, both in the United States and internationally.

Andriola sits on several boards including the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California (CENIC), Managing Chair for the California Tele-health Network, and Advisory Board member for the Pacific Rim Platform.
